Spouses and unmarried children under 18 years old can apply for dependant visas to live together in Hong Kong. Spouses can generally work or start a business in Hong Kong, and children can receive education there.
Generally, after seven years of continuous ordinary residence in Hong Kong, one may apply to become a permanent resident of Hong Kong in accordance with the law.

Applicants who meet one of the following criteria may apply for the Hong Kong Top Talent Pass Scheme.

The Top Talent Pass Scheme is mainly divided into three categories:
Category A: Individuals with an annual income of HK$2.5 million or more in the year preceding the application.
Category B: Individuals who hold a bachelor's degree from a qualifying top 100 university in the world and have accumulated at least three years of work experience within five years prior to the application.
Category C: Individuals who hold a bachelor's degree from a qualifying top 100 university in the world, graduated within five years prior to the application, but have less than three years of work experience.
The Hong Kong Government will publish a list of eligible top 100 universities worldwide, and update it from time to time in accordance with policy. Applications should refer to the latest list published by the Hong Kong Government.
Yes. After the Top Talent Pass Scheme application is approved, individuals can freely seek employment, change jobs, change employers, or start a business in Hong Kong without being tied to a specific employer. However, they must still comply with relevant Hong Kong visa and renewal requirements.
